How ya brewin’?
Yes, we all need food to survive. But to the three of us, food is more than just nourishment- food is excitement, romantic, sensual, and just plain fun.
A cookie is just a cookie if you can’t smell it freshly-baked. That’s why it was so important for us to find an outlet for our passions in a place where we could do all our baking- we want you to smell what is going on as well as taste what is going on. Next to taste, smell is the most intoxicating sense we have. So we like to play up to that.
Think that a blueberry muffin is just a muffin? Then you haven’t tried ours that are baked fresh everyday with whole, sweet blueberries and a crunchy crumb topping. Perhaps you think that tuna is boring? Not between 2 slices of multigrain bread topped with a sharp cheddar cheese and then grilled on the panini grill. Or a three-layer cappuccino bar- pure heaven.
Our coffee is the superb Beanstock coffee, fresh-roasted right in Eastham. And right next door is Tea Culture, a lovely tea house that blends different teas to come up with all of the teas that we serve. We believe in supporting local businesses and try, as much as possible, to use local products. And some of our coffee and tea products are organic and fair trade.
We are here to make your life easier and more enjoyable. From us, and all of our workers at Cape Cup, you will always receive a smile and a big “thank you!”. And you will enjoy our music and relaxing atmosphere if you choose to sit and stay in our Café or our light-filled, newly renovated 2nd room. Sit with a (Cape) Cup of coffee, tea, or soup on our couch or on one of our benches. Listen to some James Taylor, or read one of our magazines. We have set our place up for your relaxation and comfort. We want everyone who comes into our place not only to be fed but to relax and enjoy all that living on the Cape has to offer.
Thank you for listening to our philosophy on food and life in general. We hope you will join us some day, and sign up for our coffee club as a frequent-buyer. And remember- you can take Cape Cup home with you in the form of baked items on our shelves, special orders, or a t-shirt, coffee mug, or water bottle. Life is just too short not to be Cape Cupping!
